The first image I produced was proportioned incorrectly – my bunch of bananas were too short and looked like they had been glued to the top of the bowl! The apples were too small too! I liked the energy of the bowl and the colours. I cropped the image down in the photos to show the bits that worked best. I like the fruit’s punchy colours – so I used bright felt pens for the fruit. I used wax crayon for the bowl to give it a heavy slightly luminous feel – to hint of the heavy, coloured, textured glass it was made of. The bowl had a fine spiral patten going though it. The pictures attached show this spiral patten may have been lost as I added crayon to it. The background is an ink wash (ink water and brush) Again, as in previous exercises, I cropped the image down, folding the paper – this, I felt, improved the image.
